Petition on Employment Opportunities for Autistic Adults

The Autistic Adults on Tour Foundation is the author of a petition calling for systemic support and professional activation for autistic adults who, after completing their education, often lose continuity of support and are left without a real path toward employment, independence, and further development.

In the petition, we draw attention to the situation of people who want to work but are unable to find their place in the open labor market without a properly designed environment, ongoing support, and an individualized approach. We emphasize that, for many autistic adults, work means much more than employment — it provides daily structure, a sense of agency, dignity, and social belonging.

The petition was submitted on April 2, 2026, World Autism Awareness Day. On that same day, representatives of the Foundation also took part in a meeting at the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy, where they discussed the need to create real solutions for autistic adults and their families.

The Ministry’s response confirmed that the issue has been recognized at the institutional level. For the Foundation, this is an important step, but not the end of its efforts. We will continue to advocate for concrete solutions that not only describe the problem, but truly change the situation of autistic adults after they complete their education.

Charity Sunflower Run for the Invisible

We run for those whose disabilities aren’t always visible. 🌻 On June 13, 2026, we’re meeting in Warsaw for the 2nd Sunflower Run a special charity event that brings together sport, empathy, and real support. This isn’t just a race. It’s also an important social initiative aimed at raising public awareness about invisible disabilities. Because invisible doesn’t mean nonexistent. A full 80% of all disabilities are invisible. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program also notes that the Sunflower can be associated with more than 900 invisible disabilities, conditions, and chronic illnesses. That shows just how many people face challenges every day that simply aren’t apparent at first glance. Participants can choose from 3 km, 6 km, and 9 km distances, but you don’t have to be a professional runner. You can run, jog, or simply walk the route. What matters most is that you’re here with us. All proceeds from the event help fund vacation trips for autistic adults with care, support, and the space to be themselves. 📍 Pole Mokotowskie, Warsaw 🗓 Saturday, June 13, 2026 ⏰ Start at 10:00 AM Join us, and together let’s show that Warsaw sees the Sunflower. 🌻 #SunflowerRun #Sunflower #InvisibleDisabilities #HiddenDisabilitiesSunflower #Warsaw #CharityRun #AutisticAdultsOnTour Charity Sunflower Run for the Invisible
